Apple's new addition
I love technology, have a squizzy at this new innovation from Apple. They should have saved this for April fools day.... please do NOT take this seriously ;)
http://www.theonion.com is a spoof news service. KOGAN AGORA PRO MOBILE PHONE FEATURING ANDROID Kogan Agora website I have been waiting for the first Android powered Mobile phone to come onto the market in Australia. They say first shipments will be arriving late January and they are taking pre-orders now. Interesting phone to look at and would love to get my hands on this one. This is the Pro version and has WiFi, GPS and a 2 MPixel camera, without these it wouldn't be quite right.
More info on 'Clean Feed' Internethttp://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2008/11/29/australias-net-censorship-sparks-outrage/ Sitepoint have a good article to read related to the Australian government 's new censorship of the Internet. Hands Off the Internet
Great Wall of Australia: Industry cops sanitised Internet. Not something I would normally comment on on this site but I find myself resisting this proposal due to it's Orwellian nature (1984) and the consequences of introducing this kind of control.
Please read about how our government is introducing 'Content Filtering' on the Internet. Article: http://www.computerworld.com.au/index.php/id;158751291 Partition page: http://www.computerworld.com.au/hands_off_the_internet
The proposal has moral grounds but once introduced can open ways to control other aspects of free speech and public opinion about other topics in our society. This is not the way to sensor the Internet. Remember that anything controlled by government is open to lobbyists and those with political power. If you think I am not justified in stating this then please goto my contact page and leave a message. Other comments on this also accepted. Kind regards
